It took him about six months of trading item after item, getting better and better items to trade for other items, until he had an item that a person traded him for a house.
This concept is not tied to one singular rare, but it would never work for me scenario, this is the essence and spirit of bartering.
Now why would Santa write about making money? Because toys and elf pay cost money. Barter can get you the items you need or get you items you can then sell on ebay or any other app or to a pawn store.
Barter is simply, I can provide you this in exchange for the thing you need. There are barter sites and apps across the world that are very helpful, some even have their own currency that you can exchange to get goods or services. One of those sites is called ITEX.
